The design draws inspiration from the breathtaking architecture of Stanley Field Hall, the grand entrance hall of Chicago’s Field Museum. Its soaring neoclassical ceiling, dramatic geometric structure, monumental proportions, and expansive skylights create an extraordinary interplay of architecture, symmetry, space, and natural light.
Looking upward, Alesia was particularly inspired by the ceiling’s repeating square architectural forms and intricate skylight geometry. The structured pattern above contrasts beautifully with the grandeur of the hall below, where natural light illuminates the elegant white marble and emphasizes the timeless scale of the museum’s architecture.
Alesia reinterpreted these architectural details through her own artistic perspective, transforming the ceiling’s geometry into a contemporary composition in serene sage green and dramatic black. Repetition, symmetry, and carefully balanced lines create a visual rhythm that evokes serenity, structure, harmony, intellectual curiosity, and timeless sophistication.
